Welcome to Sola! These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Sola mobile application and related services ("Service").

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using the Sola application, you agree to be bound by these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations. If you do not agree with any of these Terms, you are prohibited from using or accessing this Service.

2. Description of Service

Sola is an AI assistant application that provides the following features:

• AI Chat: Conversations with a range of AI models for questions, writing, and everyday tasks
• AI Tools: Task-specific assistants such as translation, math solving, meal and travel planning, and content creation
• Image Understanding: Sending photos from your camera or library for identification and analysis
• Chat History: Local storage of your conversations for later reference
• Premium Subscription: Optional paid access to expanded usage and features

3. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the involvement of a parent or guardian. Sola does not require account registration; access is tied to your device and, where applicable, your app store purchase.

4. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree not to:

• Submit or generate content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
• Use the Service to create sexual content involving minors, or content promoting violence or self-harm
• Violate any applicable laws or regulations
• Infringe upon the rights of others, including intellectual property and privacy rights
• Upload images of other people without their consent
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems, APIs, or other users' data
• Use the Service for spam, phishing, or other malicious activities
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service or its servers
• Use automated systems, scraping, or reverse engineering to access the Service without our permission
• Resell, redistribute, or expose the Service or its AI capabilities as your own product

5. Your Content

5.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of the messages, prompts, and images you submit to the Service. By submitting content, you grant us a limited license to process and transmit that content to the AI providers required to generate a response.

5.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you submit and for ensuring you have the right to submit it. Do not submit confidential information, credentials, or personal data belonging to others.

6. AI-Generated Content

Responses are produced by AI models and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. You agree that:

• AI output is provided for informational purposes only and must be independently verified before you rely on it
• The Service does not provide medical, legal, financial, or other professional advice, and is not a substitute for a qualified professional
• Identification features (plants, animals, food, landmarks, vehicles) may return incorrect results and must not be relied on where safety is at stake
• The same prompt may produce different responses, and we make no guarantee of accuracy, originality, or fitness for a particular purpose
• You are responsible for how you use AI-generated content, including checking it against applicable laws and third-party rights

7. Subscriptions and Payments

7.1 Billing

Sola offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions and in-app purchases. Payment is charged to your Apple App Store or Google Play account at confirmation of purchase.

7.2 Renewal and Cancellation

Subscriptions renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your app store account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.

7.3 Refunds

Refunds are handled by the Apple App Store or Google Play in accordance with their policies. We are unable to process refunds directly.

8. Usage Limits

Free and premium usage may be subject to limits on messages, images, or requests. We may adjust these limits, and may throttle or suspend access in the event of abuse or excessive automated use.

9. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. Our collection and use of personal information is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

10. Intellectual Property Rights

10.1 Our Rights

The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by us and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property laws. Model names and logos shown in the app are the property of their respective owners.

10.2 Your Rights

You retain ownership of the content you submit. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to use that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.

11. Third-Party Services

The Service relies on third-party AI providers and platform services. Their availability, pricing, and terms may change, and we may add, replace, or remove available models at any time without notice.

12. Disclaimers and Limitations

12.1 Service Availability

We strive to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted access. The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind.

12.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or use, arising from your use of the Service or reliance on AI-generated content.

13. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice, including for violations of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.
